Pocket Sized words enhance learning and provide for independent comprehension activities between partners. Children may collaborate in making phrases and sentences in the pocket chart or in unscrambling sentences they prepared to exchange with each other. Children may be paired so they can review each other, first by reading the stylized side of the card, then by turning the cards to their plain text side and checking for instant recognition of sight words that way. Use this center all year!

     Each list of sight words is identified by a symbol & color. List A is green frog, List B is penguins, List C is goldfish, List D is royal blue butterfly, and list E is a red ladybug. You will find these symbols/colors on our My Little Word Walls, our Sight Word Strip books, etc.
